What goes on the last line of a Singapore address?

SingPost’s mail-quality guidance places only Singapore and the six-digit postal code on the final line, for example Singapore 408600.

Do I need a #unit number if I have the postal code?

Usually yes for a multi-unit building. The postcode identifies the building or delivery point; the official #floor-unit identifies the home.

Is mail redirection the same as changing my official address?

No. The official residential record, private account addresses and SingPost Mail Redirection are separate jobs. Update important senders directly.

Singapore addresses are compact, but a missing #floor-unit number can break mail, deliveries and verification. Confirm the building, street and six-digit postal code with official tools, then keep the residential address, courier instructions and post-move account updates separate.

Cross-check the building, address or postcode in SLA OneMap. A map pin helps a rider but does not replace the written address.
Confirm the official #floor-unit from the tenancy/handover documents or management; do not guess from a door photo.
For split international forms: put number + street in address line 1, #unit + building in line 2, Singapore as city, the six digits as postal code, and Singapore as country.
Keep courier notes to necessary gate, concierge or safe-drop details. Never add FIN, passport, bank or Singpass data.

Common errors and boundaries

Treating the six-digit postcode as a unit number. Multi-unit buildings still need the official unit.
Using only a condo name or map pin.
Typing a locker location as a normal home address when checkout/carrier support is absent.
Assuming a government update automatically changes every bank, merchant, employer or private account.
Treating Mail Redirection as a permanent address update instead of notifying important senders.
