OneMotoring traffic camera changes (from 30 Jun 2026): what remains + how to adapt

OneMotoring (LTA) states that from 30 Jun 2026, only traffic cameras at Woodlands and Tuas Checkpoints (including two cameras on AYE and BKE leading to the checkpoints) and Sentosa Gateway will remain in operation. This doesn’t change most commutes—but it changes the habit of relying on camera snapshots. Use the workflow below instead.

Quick answer

Item What it means
From 30 Jun 2026 (verify the latest OneMotoring notice)
Cameras that remain Woodlands Checkpoint, Tuas Checkpoint (incl. AYE/BKE approaches), Sentosa Gateway
What to change Switch from “camera checking” to “incidents/roadworks + checkpoints + buffer time”

2 minutes before you drive: a safer workflow (camera replacement)

  • Check OneMotoring Incidents/Alerts + Road Works first: they explain congestion better than a single snapshot.
  • If you’re crossing to JB/Malaysia: use Woodlands/Tuas cameras only as a trend signal, not a time guarantee; add buffer.
  • If you’re heading to Sentosa: Sentosa Gateway camera can be a quick congestion cue—shift time/route when it’s dense.
  • Final step: add 10–20 minutes slack for rain, minor incidents, and event crowds.
