Transport / CCL weekend adjustments

Circle Line (CCL) weekend adjustments (Apr–May 2026): dates, shuttles, and planning checklist

If you rely on late Saturday trains or early Sunday trips: to prepare for Circle Line Stage 6 (CCL6) systems integration testing, the Circle Line has selected weekend adjustments in Apr–May 2026 (earlier last trains on Saturdays, later first trains on Sundays), with shuttle buses. 17 May 2026 is the final Sunday-morning window in this adjustment batch; this page turns the dates into a low-stress plan.

Four things to remember

Item Meaning
Affected period 6 weekends from 2026-04-11 to 2026-05-17 (see list below)
Saturday nights CCL ends earlier at 11:00pm (confirm via station / official notices)
Sunday mornings CCL starts later at 9:00am; shuttle buses run 5:00–9:00am. After 17 May 2026, still re-check SMRT/LTA before time-critical trips.
Best strategy Treat Sat-late / Sun-early as two special scenarios and pre-pick a fallback route

Date impact checker

This checker matches dates only. Verify last/first train timings via station posters and official updates.

Note: If your trip is Saturday late / Sunday early, write your fallback route down and keep buffer time.

A conservative plan that works

  • If you must use CCL late on Saturday: move your “latest departure time” 20–40 minutes earlier and keep buffer.
  • On Sunday 5:00–9:00: use shuttle buses or alternative MRT lines + regular bus connections (don’t wait for trains to resume).
  • For flights or time-critical plans: do not try a brand-new detour on the day itself; test once earlier.
  • If you’re new to Singapore transport: make sure your tap-in payment method is ready (SimplyGo/EZ-Link/bank card) before the trip.
  • Re-check official updates near your date in case engineering plans change.

Shuttle buses (Sundays 5:00–9:00am): how to think about them

  • Officially, two shuttle bus services (commonly shown as Shuttle 36 / 37) run on affected Sunday mornings. Follow station posters and official notices for the exact stops and frequencies.
  • If you only need a short hop: a combination of regular buses + another MRT line is often more predictable than riding the full shuttle route.

Copy-ready: impacted-trip checklist

  • Check your date against the impact checker on this page
  • Saturday late: leave earlier + keep walking/queue buffer
  • Sunday early: plan around shuttle buses / alternative lines (don’t rely on trains resuming early)
  • Verify timings via station posters and the latest official notice
  • For important trips: keep a taxi/ride-hail fallback budget

Watch-outs

  • This page summarises date windows; it does not replace station posters or real-time updates.
  • Shuttles are a bridge solution — allow extra time for queues (especially with luggage or strollers).
  • If you’re transferring to airport connections or long-distance coaches, budget transfer time separately.
